Title: faux-factory turbo pinto dash
Post by: dholvrsn on August 11, 2007, 09:54:02 PM
This thing is nowhere near done, but I just had to show it off anyway. It's a custom instrument cluster for my '79 porthole Pinto that's going to get a turbo engine swap. It has gauges from much larger Merkur and T-bird clusters shoehorned in there. I'm trying to make it look factory by the time I'm done.

After a year of being sidetracked, I finished up the faux-factory custom gauge cluster.

Now to find some of those long stemmed Merkur bulbs!

Very cool! I don't think an amateur could tell that wasn't original!
