Title: Greetings from a newbie
Post by: MrDWrench on May 05, 2004, 06:01:36 PM
Just wanted to post a quick note to the forum to say hello.  My name is Dave and I own a 78 Bobcat wagon that I am trying to make my own.

It runs and is really in pretty good shape.  Would like to install a Tunderbird turbo engine/drivetrain in it.

I am a retired auto tech and work in a trade school so  I have the hands on skills to do the job, just lack the info.

Any help/what to look out for would be great.  Drop me an email, reply to my thread.  If ya live close enough I will give you my home number and we can chat.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the board!
There are a few people here who have done the turbo engine swap, so they should be able to answer any questions you may have.
In addition to my Pinto, I also have a '78 Bobcat.  I bought it at a towing company auction a couple of years ago for $375.  It runs, but the C3 transmission is dead.  Like you, I would like to turbo it as well.
Good luck!
Oh, by the way, I wish I was able to retire when I was 43!
