Title: Tire & Wheel Size question
Post by: messipj on July 24, 2007, 08:48:01 PM
I found a set of 16 x 7 4 lug wheels with good 255/50VR16 tires mounted.
Offset measures  about 4 3/4"
Will these fit on my Pinto wagon front & rear???

If the tires are too big, will the wheels fit with a smaller tire??

Will I need a spacer block on the lugs???

Thanks
Paul

What is the diameter and the width of the tires?

Hi Bill

According to the tire calculator web site the 255/50R16 is

26" in Dia.
82.5" in circumference
10" wide

Taking a ruler and measuring the car it appears they will fit.
Hoping to hear from a few members who have more experice with these larger tires.

Thanks
Paul

Make sure they will fit as far as your spindle goes(or whatever its called). 16" TC rims will rub the top of the assembly. They are pretty deep rims as well and if your new ones are even deeper then they will not work.
