Title: Is the 2.3 Engine from a 78 Pinto Wagon compatible with a 76 Mustang II

Soemone is giving me a 76 Mustang II coupe.  I would like to take the 2.3 out of my 78 wagon and put it into the mustang.  Are they compatible?
