hello all
First off i wanna thank everyone with all there help with my questions and parts.
But iam back with another post. Ive heard about using a ranger roller head on a 2.3L. Does this help out with HP and what years of ranger. and is there any modifications that i will need to do on a carb engine for the head to work
thanks

The "head" is not a "roller", but just the cam and followers are. There is an early and late head, with different valve stem sizes. I don't know the details, sorry.
There is debate over how much 'gain' you will get from the roller. The roller cam is as mild as the normal N/A ones, so the gain would be from reduced friction. With out a dyno or time slips, I doubt anyone would FEEL a difference unless the old cam was bad.

I agree with Bill!
Just use the Ranger roller cam and followers + lifters in your old head.
