Recommended tire size for the Ford 10 hole Aluminum Wheels

Scored a set from my father in law from his 1987 Cougar.  What is the recommended size for these rims without rubbing.

I have a brand new set of 225/75r/15 tires but I am almost positive they are too big for my 73 wagon

Hello FESPERMAN,
My experience with the 10 hole wheels is that they have too much backspacing and the tires do not stick out far enough.
a 225 75 15 is over 28 " tall.
You need somethin around 24" or less to fit a Pinto.\ Unless you are looking for a Hi-rake look.
