Srt,
Thanx for responding with that. I have not seen any serious weight measurements on this site or maybe I have overlooked them. Maybe some of the guys with stock cars could sunday drive to the scales and give us modified guys a baseline for comparison.
I think it would be good data for this sight.

Is that stock or do you have some mods done to it?

I know when I get mine done and operable I will at Kurts Bros. (a landscape supply place by me) just for the reason of I have a G-Tech and I will need that info for when I'm at the track and trying to tune my computer. Thats when the real fun begins........trting not to grenade my motor!!! That would not be good  :(

back in those days i was young, dumb and full of .....enthusiasm!  i was making decent money and i liked to go fast.  i stripped EVERYTHING out of the interior that i could short of the two front seats.  added lexan windows.  i mean i damn near took out or stripped out or scraped out everything i could,  th only glass in the car was the windshield.  it was weighed at Zimmers Chevron  ( a truck stop) on Peck Rd, at the 605 freeway here in southern california.  the scales were frequently certified as accurate  and i talked to a CHP relative that was alive at the time and he assurred me that the numbers from their scales were about as correct as could be.  and it didn't cost a dime either

It's mechanically stock. but I've swapped out the seats & added new carpet, W/rubber backing for sound deadener. All told it SHOULD weigh in at it's stock weight. +-25lbs of junk/tools

I just weighed my '79 HB on 4 corner scales.

It weighed in right at 2570 with a full tank of gas, spare tire/jack, A/C, & Smog pump.

I'm hoping to have it down to 2500 with 8.8 rear, TH400 trans, & LS1
