Title: Granada Swap?
Post by: 77turbowagon on June 20, 2007, 03:25:00 PM
I've been seeing this Granada Rotor swap thing to get 5 lugs. What is needed to do the complete upgrade?

Granada Rotors, GM Metric Calipers, 86 Blazer 4X4 Brake hoses and the brackets from RJays.com. I'll list the link here.

When I got my kit from RJays, they did not mention what hoses to use, I had to figure that out for myself. I used 88 s-10 Blazer 2.8l 4X4 (the 2 wheel drive ones are different). I have this posted somewhere too.

Just a note on the RJays kit, Please check to see if they work on the early ( 71-73) pintos before you buy the brackets. Most of the brackets do not work with the early cars. Of course if you have a 74 and up car its a mute point.

I read that post, that is the only reason I said that. After I read that post I ordered & got my lines from my local Federated Parts Store.

The 'banjo' ends of the lines need to be bent slightly, and you should get the proper size nuts to install the other ends in the stock brackets too.

If you don't want to carry two spares, a later Maverick 8" rear is an easy (with minor work) fix, with bigger brakes.

Also, be careful, the Granada rotors need a wheel with a BIG center hole (2.75").

Later Maverick rears have the same 2.75" as the Granada fronts.
