Will the 5 speed out of a ranger work because I have had so many tell me yes and no. Does anyone know for sure. :2fast4u:
If it has the same 4 cyl. block, I would say yes, with a bit of modification for the shifter location though. Be sure to get the bell housing to though, it may be different.
Define "work."
If you are looking for a "direct bolt in" with no modifications, I know of no 5spd that will do that. The Ranger 5spd is not as good as a T-5 and much harder to work with.

Go with a T-5. I have a Ranger 2.5 engine with a 5 speed and the shifter is several inches too far forward.
