Today I went to a Swap Meet.. In Regina, Saskatchewan Canada...
Well at this swap meet there was some Nice Draglite Wheels in the Ford 4 Bolt Pattern..I thought they would be great wheels for the Pinto.. So I asked about them The guy said $80CDN for the Pair. Then proceeded to ask, "So you have a Mustang you're gonna put them on?" . I said "No I'm in the process of doing the SBF swap on a Pinto." He's like Oh cool my buddy over there has a Pinto he's pulling the engine out of, He'd probably let it go real Cheap." So I asked him about it, It's a 79 or 80 it had a Fuel Injected 302 In it and C4.. He Aquired it at an auction because it had a stolen engine in it. He said he would sell the rest of the car to me for $200CDN $147 US! It's got a Fiberglass Hood, Traction Bars , Frame Connectors,Posi 8.8 Thats All I know of But this will be a huge step in getting the Car Done.. It's also got a pair of Centerlines on the Back with new Rubber for $200 extra.
And I Picked up the 1977 Mustang II Today...
I can't wait...
Oh, if only I had the room for more cars. ::)
Great find and buys. When I move south I plan on doing more parts searching. The yards up here like to close at noon or dont even open on Saturdays. >:( :'(
It makes parts finding hard. The auctions havent turned up anything.
One of my dads friends used to say he would love to have a square mile of Pintos out in the desert so he could do nothing but build Pintos all day. ;)
Congrats on the buy. What are your plans??
I plan on Doing the 302/C4 Swap... While i'm here...I was wondering if there was any electrical issues involved with the Swap.(I hate Electrical)..And does the Mustang II have bigger Brakes Than the Pinto? I will now make this my updates page.. I will post the pics of the parts car Pinto on the Weekend and I'll go try and get pics of the Mustang II Tomorrow..
