On the road again....

last 2 days here in Rockford were great. Pulled the Pinto off the trailer and put on another 80 miles or so driving the back roads around here. I'm heading down thru Iowa towards Iowa City and over to Pintony's. I'll be looking for a camp ground to spend the night as I don't want to drive 10+ hours in one day. I'll have to stop for gas to many times and I just want to take my time. I should be to Pintony's sometime mid-day Sunday.

I put on appox 500 miles today and made it to Knoxville Illinois before I had to stop.

for the map click here ---> http://maps.yahoo.com/dd_result.php?.intl=us&trf=0&tbt=0&country1=us&q1=Rockford%2C+MN%2C+United+States+&country2=us&q2=Des+Moines%2C+IA%2C+United+States+&country3=us&q3=Davenport%2C+IA%2C+United+States+&country4=us&q4=61448&q5=

Found a nice KOA to stop at for the night, cooked up some pork chops, have potato salad and cole slaw and a fuzzy navel wine cooler for dinner. Gonna watch a movie and get some shut eye. I am about 3 hours from Pintony's and will be there tomorrow. He tells me the plan for Sunday night is to go to the drive-in (yes, old time outside drive-in!!) and watch Spiderman 3 and he wants to take the Pinto's. That should be kind of cool.

Well, We can see if we can get that cam working and coagulated with Scott. My car is comming along and I have been test driving it although I am taking it easy and saving rubber for Tulsa. I have not talked to Al but he said he will call me when he returns from Mexico.

CookieBoy,
Glad to hear that you made it home safe. Your car was definitly one of the show stoppers and attention getters.

Thanks High_Horse... It was a blast, 17 days on the road and away from home. There were some awfully nice Pinto's in Tulsa, I would have been proud to own any of them. Thomas' 3 week 1972 restore was impressive, Tony's really, really, really nice all origional  ;D, your "Thunder Pinto," Dave's Origionals, Alberto's Wagon (that's how I would have done mine 13 years ago if...) and the interior on the Purple wagon was tooo coool..... but I think my favorite was PonyAl's (wasn't at the show) but to have bought it new in 74 and still have it, teach the kids to drive, send em' off to collage, the stories... Now That's Impressive!!!
