Hello all I just bought a 1973 pinto with a v8 engine swap job already applied to it. I don't know much about pinto's as I have never owned one. The body is in good shape with no rust, but the shifter is a little bit off and I need to get new one. The one thing I couldn't find any where is a heater box for it, which is going to be a problem in winter and when it rains as there is no AC. If any one know where to find one I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for reading my post
Got one $50.00 plus shipping.
BillionPig,
Lets see some pictures....especially the engine compartment..

If you found a heater box then that would be great because that was the one item that seemed unfindable. Where did you find one? Because I would be more than happy to pay that price. Ill get some pictures up on saturday thats when ill have it at my house.
Hey this may sound odd but how do i post pictures inside the text box? I took some pictures just cant get them to show.
thanks.
I have a 1980 V8 Pinto. I ditched the stock shifter and installed a Hurst Ratchet shifter....love it. It has a basically stock 302 it also has a ford 9" rear and HAD a c4 trans, but after I bought it I added the following in 2 weeks:
MSD 6AL
MSD Blaster 2 coil
Holley 670 Street Avenger
GT-40 heads
Tach and Shift light
Hurst Pro-Matic Ratchet shifter
TCI Street Sizzler transmission
New convertor
Traction Bars
2 Flow Master series 40 mufflers
Kenwood Stereo
2) 12" Cerwin Vega speakers
2)6x9 pioneers
amp
Have to order that Valance and Guage pod from Map. Future plans after i recover my hot rod account are:
Convert front to 5 lug
Rod lite wheels
runners on the front and 295/50/15 on the rear
bigger cam and Air Gap Intake
Gear swap toa 3.73 set up with posi unit
I have a 351w that I got from an uncle that I plan on going crazy on over the summer and doing a winter install. That or a 347 stroker. I never go to the track much to the dismay of my friends. I just build of the beaten path hot rods and make people scratch thier head. My last small hot rod was 2 cars ago...a 1976 vega wagon with a 283 .040 and a .510/.533 lift cam and a ton of mods. It was ugly but man was it fast. I will post pics of the Pocket Rocket tomm.
