Post by: Underdog76 on April 19, 2004, 10:15:24 PM
For anyone who needs or wants to know, the motor mount part # off of my dads 302 are D72A-6B032-AA.
These mounts are off a 78 King Cobra. It is important to note that they are both left side mounts, but they bolt right in. hope this helps someone... :)

while searching for other parts on ebay, I came across a site that sells motor mounts (new) for the Mustang II (engine side)  total cost for both including shipping is $45.  I will let you know how they work.    I will post their number if people are interested.  I do not have it with me at  the moment.  Now to find the frame side of the mounts.

Old time parts does not sell the mounts for the motor mounts, they only sell the bushing (rubber piece on the engine side of the motor mount. that is between the engine bracket and the the bolt to the frame bracket.  I will document how to install them on my web site so everyone can see how they work.

Have you updated your site yet?  I'm still having a heck of a time finding the part of the motor mount that bolts to the block.

It may be a few weeks, I have had to work on the daily drivers (clutch, brakes, exhaust...)  If you would like, I will try to post pictures of the parts that I have and try to get the motor mount numbers off of them.  I kept looking on Ebay for MII motor mounts and jumped when I found a set.  The Old time parts sels replacement rubber to be inserted into a blown out mount.

Thanks for the interest.

Part numbers for motor mounts mustang II new:

i'm not sure if this is correct, but it seems like it could work.  I guess wagner makes the correct versailles right rear directional rotor that i thought was discontinued...  They sell ranger roller cams etc...   These are part numbers for motor mounts for a 78 mustang w/302.  I'd suspect its a mustang II.  Thats a Sealed power or maybe federal mogul part number.  You should be able to use that at an auto parts store to order it.

Lookup Results Change Vehicle

Listed below are the results of your lookup. Notice any special information related to the part.

I am new here but here is what I came up with for mounts:

I used 77 Thunderbird mounts and made special spacers I needed to move the frame perches out 1/2 inch on each side but the drop in was perfect! ( I took 1/2 inch plate nd shimmed them out equally)

Napa still sells these, they set the engine PERFECTLY ,once the perches are moved out and they are adjustable for your transmission  engine combo, you only need to make special spacers once it is determined and fill the gap!

If you decide to put a Cleveland in your pinto you need not shim the frame mounts!

I have a good friend that had a 351CJ in a pinto WOW was that nuts until he wrecked it!

He gave me the idea, I came up with the perches and shim!

Currently I am building a 289 Hi Po dual quad coupe 1980 this is gong to be neat when it is finished It will feature a 8V 289 13.0 compression and a top loader! I built a custom bell to use a cable with an 11 inch clutch!

The 289 is meaner than a wet hornet! I had it in a 89 mustang and at 55, in fourth standing on the throttle it would set the whole car in a side slide at 55!

It should be fun once it is all finished!

Any questions or  comments PLEASE drop me a line I am looking for all ideas
