I noticed that when I pull into my parking spot here at the apartments there is a squeaking when turning into it to the left. I don't hear it when in reverse or when on the road taking a turn at an intersection.
I greased the balljoints while I had the car up on jackstands a few days ago but I'm still hearing it. Dad thinks it may be the balljoints going bad. Any other ideas of what to check for?
I think you should check it again ...may be it was not done properly at that time...if its not proper then you can change them and see...
Lift the driver side tire a half inch above the ground. Now take a pry bar and put it between the tire and ground, and try lifting the car. If the tire lifts off the ground higher with no effect to the car itself, it's your ball joint.
Do the same on the passenger side to be sure.
