Good day,
I stopped by to post a want add for a 2.3 front sump oil pan, but I think I might hang around a bit for the tech you guys have here.
I have a 1978 Mustang II Coupe with a 2.3 Turbo out of an 86 T-Bird. An unfortunate oil pan leak caused me to pull the motor to check bearings. Thankfully only the rod bearings were a little pitted so I should be on the road again soon.
My 78 is presently stock for 86 TC standards, but that's just so I can start at the beginning. I'm a software/electrical engineer and have been looking into the Dodge ECU system since most of the Merkur guys around here are running that. However, I intend to change it up a little and use Ford's EDIS instead of the Dodge distributor. Should make for a really cheap programmable DIS engine management system. I know some of you are running 2.3T so that's why I mentioned it.
Take Care!
