Title: Climate Control Blower Motor switch
Post by: losin sux on May 16, 2007, 09:37:32 PM
Spent a few hours perusing the ford and mercury section today and had a good day.  Of ALL of them at the yard (excess of 60 I would say) only 1 had a 5 position switch for the blower...... a 71 LTD.  This is the first time I have ever found a replacement.  I got about 14 inches of wire back from the 5 pin connector.  Further investigation into my situation revealed not 1 but 2 pins that had arced so bad they really weren't in the connector and the connector having been so hot was deformed badly.  1 pin had already been replaced with a spade.  The wiring color wise was spot on too.....thank you ford!  I looked into MII (78) several T birds, Crown Vics, Mark 4s or 5s but no go.  Found some 4 position ones but not 5.
To sum it up  a 77 with A/C uses the same climate control blower connector as a 71 LTD.

Thought someone else might need this info and perhaps a search of the site will help them out.
