Title: To those running V8's
Post by: mrpinto on May 02, 2007, 12:25:02 AM
Are you using a trans cooler, or going through the rad? My last rad was an old top tank with no tranny lines, but I swapped in an aluminum V6 Ranger A/C rad with the lines. I still have the transmission cooler, but will it be fine running through the rad?

Also, can run of the mill electric fans be reversed? I was told I can wire them backwards so it will "push". Is this true?

I am running the stock radiator cooler.

Some aftermarket electric fans are made to either push or pull. Keep in mind that most of them don't push as well as they pull. I have seen where they list the CFM differences, and it can be a lot.
