Title: 1980 Pinto Wagon about to bring alive.
Post by: night2061 on April 28, 2007, 01:29:02 AM
Ok, I have had it for 2 years, carb seems to be the biggest problem, but I am about to take it to the shop. I wanted a lot done, tires, then engine, then body, then interior.

Engine wise I have heard a 88' thunderbird turbo coupe is best fit to muscle it up.
Is there truth to that? what do I need to go into the mechanic's shop and tell them I want done?
I have already talked to a few and they say a crate motor in a pinto is not realistic.

Where do I need to go direction wise as far as wanting to keep up with a stoplight race,
instead of jokingly revin my 4cyl. pinto beast?

Anyone on my brainwave length, feedback a must.
