Title: Seat vinyl cracking...
Post by: micycle on April 11, 2007, 08:35:44 AM
Greetings -

I have a 74 Squire wagon and the vinyl on the seat is starting to crack.. it breaks my heart!

Any suggestions for vinyl repair kits? Found one at the local shop for $15 that glues it together and you paint it, but it seems like it could be a tedious job. Any other tips/ideas would be welcome.

Thanks!

ARE YOUR SEATS ALL VINYL, OR DO THEY HAVE CLOTH INSERTS?
I HAVE A SET FROM A 74 WAGON THAT ARE A TAN BROWN. SEATS
ARE OUT OF 20,000 MI. CAR THAT WAS WRECKED 20 YEARS AGO.
THE SEATS ARE UPSTAIRS IN MY GARAGE. IF THEY ARE THE RIGHT
ONES FOR YOU, I'LL LOOK THEM UP. I ALSO HAVE THE DASH PAD
FROM THE SAME CAR.I LOOKED IT UP WHEN I SAW YOUR POST. IT
IS NEAR PERFECT,WITH NO RIPS OR TEARS. IF YOU'RE INTERESTED,
I CAN PROBABLY SEND YOU PICTURES VIA E-MAIL THIS WEEKEND.
E-MAIL ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. MY SEATS ARE ALL VINYL.

Bummer, I've got the seats with the vinyl edges and tweed cloth in the middle.  :( You've got mail re: the dash, though!
