Title: photos/diagrams of stock, complete, fully smogged 1978 2.3 engine
Post by: smogdum on April 01, 2007, 03:54:53 PM
Is there a photo of a 1978 stock, complete, fully smogged 1978 2.3 engine anywhere on the whole world-wide web?  My daily driver had all the smog equipment removed and thrown away by previous owner. I've sourced & re-attached such equipment, but have no idea how it's supposed to be vacuum lined/wired back together.  The Haynes '75 thru '80 manual isn't much help in this regard. Car needs to be smogged, and is now getting by with temp-stickers from California DMV.

Well, I have a pic of one with the air pump in it, but I don't think it'll help you much.  I think I stole it from evilBay.

I used my 79 wagon as a guide when I redid all the vaccuum lines on my 78 Crusing wagon.  I do have some detailed pictures from the 79 that I can send you if you like?  Send me your email address if you are interested and I will get them to you.
