Title: C3 stall converter
Post by: ccmhockey12 on March 17, 2007, 12:02:05 AM
I have a 2.3L engine and just put on a race head. I have a C3 transmission. When I put the car into drive it wants to take off right away, as it should, but if i hold down the break it wants to die. Does anyone know if a higher stall converter is even made for a C3? I can find torque converters for a C4 pretty much anywhere, but not for a C3, will a C4 torque converter fit/work in a C3?
Thanks!!

find a v6 pinto (or maybe ranger or mustang or bronco ll) with a c3 the tork converter is going to have a higher stall. i only know this to work with c4 for sure but it could be a good thing to look at at the junk yard if ur's is already out
a a4ld is an c3 w/overdrive
