I just got done installing an 8-inch rear in my pinto.(One step closer!!! ;D) Everything fit great but my problem is the drums. One of them is warped really bad to I need another one. Supposedly, this rear came from underneath a 66' ish mustang, but when I look on the web for replacements I get something very different looking. Can any of you help me out with identifying this drum?

Looks like a Maverick drum to me. in 71, the 250 and 302 got 5 lug axles and I beleive in 73 or 74 (can't remember which year) they all got 5 lug axles.
Oddly enough, although the maverick is a heavier and faster car, the pinto 8" brake drums are a lot better. They have cooling fins on them. Think they changed the maverick drums in the later years to have cooling fins as well.

After looking everywhere for mustang drums I tried the Maverick and it was an exact fit!! Thanks so much for the reply. - Amin
