Title: Valve Covers for a 2.3 Liter
Post by: ptldrabbit on February 10, 2007, 05:13:44 PM
My Brother is rebuilding a 2.3 Liter Pinto engine for a friend's Hydroplane.  That friend has requested that he use the cast aluminum Cobra logo valve covers that were available on the turbo version but I haven't been able to locate.  Anyone know if they exist for the 2.3 Lt and what that part number might be?

THANKS!

Never heard of a "Cobra" valve cover. The aluminum ones I've seen say either Turbo or 2.3. At least the fatory pieces. Esslinger makes a nifty aluminum valve cover, it resembles the "Motorsport" ones, but says Esslinger on it.

Although not a Cobra logo and not in production, IECO advertised a aluminum valve cover for the 2.3 with the word "PINTO" in the rib top.  See page 13 of the old IECO catalog in the Bric-a-Brac section above.
