Title: electric choke converision
Post by: jimdaug on February 06, 2007, 10:25:44 PM
Does anyone know where I can get an electric choke to replace the hot water choke on an older model ('74 i think) carburetor.  I found a weber electric choke, but it doesn't seem to work for some reason.  I would think at least the element would get warm, so I think it's bad.  I'm putting a reman carb on an older engine, so I haven't actually run the carburetor yet, but I've hooked up the weber choke to a battery and it doesn't even move the butterflies.  Does any body know where I can get either a universal electric choke, or a replacement choke for one of the later model years?  Or if anyone has a new electric choke, I would be happy to take it off their hands.  Thanks for any info you guys can provide.

James
