Title: v8 oil filter clearance?
Post by: domin8r on February 04, 2007, 09:01:20 PM
Curious to know what anybody running a v8 is doing about clearance of the oil filter to the frame? I was wondering if anybody is using the svo oil filter adapter part# m-6880-a50? I see that people putting small blocks in sunbeam tigers are using them because they are very similar to the adapters that were used on ford econolines.

I had a 73 with a smallblock and Hooker headers , and I had no clearance problems, I currently have a 76' pinto coupe with a 302 and hooker headers and I still have no clearance problems , in fact I have plenty of room for removing the oil filter

Old topic but I wanted to reply anyway.

If you have an early Pinto with swaybar then the PH8A will hit the swaybar mount.  Run a PH43 and you'll be cool.  It's a short PH8A.
