Welp, I drove my baby down to its first car show ;D
Sad thing is on the way there a f-ing junky mustang lost a hubcap and it managed to hit my fender and leave a sratch and chip in it. :'( Paint has been on for less then a month! Oh well...
Here are some pics of my car:

I had alot of people come up to my car and laugh and smile about it, everyone loves the pinto =D
That first scratch is always the worst :(
I was real nervouse at my first show.A lot of people were laughing too, but what made me laugh is when an older man came up to me and said "Do you see my son over there he was conceved in the back seat over thirty years ago and wanted to know where he could by one for his 40th anniversery.
now thats what im doing my brother and i are in the process of putting a 71 sedan togather in a fun kinda way for show n go..........
what color are your 19 71's? i have a brown 1971 2.0 2 dr.
I aint trying to be rude but why dont anyone ever try rod'n a pinto. Chop tops and shave and smooth everything out? Is it cause its a unibody or something cause im lookin at all these websitez with chevyz and things like that all really nice and then I look at mustangs and pintos and the only thing I can find chopped is the ford trucks. Is it something about the car that makes it hella hard to chop? Does it look ugly when chopped? What am I missin ???
i dont know about you but im 6 foot and 255 pounds and getting in and out of a chopped pinto would get old after a while rollin in and out ......i admit a pinto chopped would look good if a person was to chop it by laying the windshield back instead of cutting it to but i guess thats more money than most people would want to put in to a pinto... people i know around here i tell them things id like to do with one of mine and the usual guote is (why its still a PINTO!) ........some people are just scared to be different .... or maybe there that way couse they dont want to be like me....lol ;D
Chris
I have seen a chopped Pinto and it didnt look too good to me.
Smooth Pintos look really good. Getting rid of the mirrors for a couple of low profile sport mirrors does wonders too.
Brando
Your car looks sweet.
well damn thanks alot ;D I dont think ill chop the top then.. Im fixin to try and shave as much off of the car as I can dad dident like tha idea about choppin the top anyways. Anyone have any ideas about taillights?
Smooth paintjob Brando nice :)
How about making your wagon look like a 1963 or 1964 smaller version of a Ford Fairlane Wagon --with round tail lights and maybe a two part wagon rear door--top half opens up and the bottom half drops down even with the car --just like the 63/64's did---be pretty wild

I seen a chopped Pinto on e-bay last year. It thought it looked bad azz. It said it had a 2" chop so it didn't stand out but you could tell something was different. See attached photos.
I like that look!
