I was notified through ebay that the 2.3 automatic bell housing will bolt up to a 2.8. Is this true?

Do you mean a seller of a bell that will tell anyone anything to sell the item??

No, No, that's not what I mean at all. I was asking an Ebay member if he had a bell for a 2.8. He said he sold it and must of posted the question on the auction. I had an anonymous ebay member send me an email and said the 2.3 bell should fit. Didn't say it actually fit, just said it should.

Do you have one or will the 2.3 fit on the 2.8?

there is a difference. the two top bolt holes are farther apart on the 2.8 than the 2.3
