My 77 has always kinda been my dream car. It belonged to my grandfather. It hasn't been driven in 6 years. and now its mine. It needs some love put into it. But all the work will truly be worth it. I was hoping that someone here might be able to point me to the right direction..right now Iv spent alot of time looking for a new(or the best i can get) fuel sending unit, (maybe) a new gas tank (the one i have now is a bit rusty, but I'm in the process of trying to clean it), new gaskets, and a brake hardwear kit (with the springs n all). Thats what we need to get her started (and stoped), then I plan on doing more work. the dash needs to be replaced, and minor cosmetic work here n there..
please e-mail me if you know of a place.
Thank you

Kaydle,
What engine do you have in that car...Standard or automatic. Who is doing the work? How many miles are on it? Was it stored inside or out? Did your Gradnpaw buy it new? Pictures??

Hello high horse, Its a 4 cylinder, automatic, stored outside. grandpa bought it new :) Iv always loved it, its red n white, with a red leather interior. sorry for the delay on the responce, i went computerless for awhile. and im doing the work myself..
The wonderful thing about the Pinto is that, most of the parts are still available at the chain stores. That comes from having better than a million of them made.
Best of luck with this project, and by all means get us some pics.

WOW!!!
Almost a year since your last post on this subject...
Kaydle,
Glad to have you back. I will be happy to walk you through a rejuvination of your Pinto. A Pinto that has been parked outside requires some extra attention. So lets start at the beginning...what have you done so far? By the way? Have you put your pin in the map? And does your Pinto have a name?

I'm off and on, busy with school, and work and i get little in between it seems. WE had to refurbish the gas tank, it got a tune up not too long ago. it runs like a little dream. i think, however, that my transmission lines either need replacing or tightenting. then i need a dash, red. the back seat could use a little stichin. the front seats probally need to be re-leatherd. I call her my baby, Serinity. I will try to check this thing more often hehe ;) No pics yet, but hopefully in the future.
