I have seen a couple of these, were they painted like this from ford, at the dealers, or probrably just a owner paint job?
Also, if anyone has any pictures of one... could they post it or send it to me?

dont have a pic, but have seen them before. Stripe is similar to my 1974 Roadrunner (RIP).
May have been a dealer option, who knows.
I had a 79 hatchback once that was like that. It was a dealer option, you had to order it that way.

It was a factory option in 77
Based on the Ralleye package ........ only available though in G3Blue with the matching white and blue interior
I only know this cause I own one .........
No easy to get redone though ........ too much stripe detail

i believe i recall seeing that particular stripe package in a dealers manual for a 77. will check when i get a chance to go through my stuff at my parents house.
This is a pic of my 1980 Pinto, Starsky and Hutch stripe and all... Might be vinyl but it was a factory deal there. Everybody's told me to 86 the stripe but I'm bringing it back in silver on black...

Hey, yeah, the stripe was a dealer option. We painted the stripe on my car after we bought it to resemble the original option. We chose to paint it palomino to match the interior, plus it looks good with the plum crazy color. Here's a picture... I know the front end is cut off but it shows the rear detail.
