Title: 2.3L ford motorsport head
Post by: bullfrog on January 21, 2007, 09:09:32 PM
Hello,

In a bygone era I owned a race car.
all that remains is a 2.3L with a rough idle.

TRW forged flattop pistons 0.040 over
ported ford motorsport head, D shaped intake ports, oversized valves, tall combustion chamber, valves cannot hit the piston!
roller cam with 0.420 lift at valve, hydraulic lash adjusters
Also have offenhauser dual plane 4bbl intake for 2.3L

This engine is currently installed in an '80 ford courier with stock intake and exhaust.
It used to reside in a 78 pinto which was a lot of fun to drive.

Is anyone looking for a near max effort naturally aspirated 2.3L?

(sorry, I will post this in classifieds)

Sounds good. But I just had my motor bored .030 over and took .002 off the head, added a cam with .410 of lift and 280 duration. has stock intake and valves. but it is trip to take out and race. Sorry but I would look into it if i didn't put all the work into my motor.
