Title: Just my luck
Post by: 78squirewagon on January 20, 2007, 10:27:43 PM
Well, today I made arrangements with Mitch Morgan to finally put the Pinto in storage for the rest of the Winter. All was going well on the trip out Genese (?) Depot. Nice sunny drive on 94 all the way out to Hwy 83 and no problems. Then it happened. Just after I got passed Hwy 18 and only four miles from where I was going to meet Mitch, I had a blowout on my right rear tire. The original spare tire that had never been on the car finally had to be used. It was full of air so that was a sigh of relief. Mitch came to my rescue and helped me get the tire changed and over to where the car will be sitting until the last weekend in March.

I have not had any troubles with the Pinto since i have had it and on the day I am putting it away for a while, the tire blows. Lookis like I know where my tax refund is going (if I get one). 13" tires with white walls are a little hard to find nowdays

BIG THANKS YOU TO MY LOVING WIFE AND MITCH MORGAN from FM*106 for giving me a hand

Mark

Hey there, sorry to hear about the tire thing. I remember when i first used the ORIGINAL spare. It was i think like 1993 94? So the spare was o 23 years old??? LOL Man i could do a burnout without even trying compared to the 215 60 14s i had on that thing at the time. After having another flat again and driving in the rain a few times on it, i finally decided to get a replacement 13in for it from winston tires. LOL! Cost all of $35 back in 95!
good luck
