(http://)Sup yall i'v been trying to do something new with the pinto. (trying to make it look good and kick butt at the same time) This is my first car. Its been a pain in the butt. Right now im working on the paint job. it took me about a half a year to cut and weld and bondo all the parts to look almost flawless. I wish i had before pics. Im still working on the paint job. Its a pain in the butt and is not a weekend project. *Hint do things right the first time and always strip the old paint off!.. So u dont have to try and fill endless paint chips with primer and dust the car only. I can endlessly talk about the problems I have been having with painting. The paintjob is starting to look flawless though. If you have and questions Post up. Here are some pics(//)

Wow
I wish my wagons body was that solid. :-\
How did you strip it?
;D I used Aircraft paint stripper by Klean Strip. Buying a gallon at a time. Then once most of the paint was off I got a 3m paint grinding pad. Grided it all down to a shine ;D
Holy Crap!
I have never, never, seen a Pinto torn down this far before.
You MUST post more pictures of this project as you go..
wow man, ..
Really! I'd love to see more pictures of it as you progress. Hey Scott, there ya go, have a "Work in Progress" site showing how Chris is doing with the car... Might help a lot of new Pinto owners out...
Work in Progress Site, ...
Hmm, that would require me to design it, you guys to attach pictures to your email & send them to me, then I will need to resize & color correct every picture (I'm a perfectionist) & then I can upload them to the site for everyone to see...
Naaa...
Just upload your pictures here, it's easy & saves soo much time, plus we all can slap banter around the Forum where we could not on the page...
;D
Since I have all the wiring out of the car. I am going to clean up and hide some things under the drivers side fender. The windshield wiper fluid holder will be given some support with birch plywood and filled tight incase any rocks of anything fly up. I should be finished with it soon. Some new pics of the things painted and cleaned on the link below. The parts will be cromed in the future I just dont want rust seeping through or rocks flying up.

Sup people Iv just got the mig welder this week. It makes almost no warpage compared to brazing. I wish I never touched the torch and braze rod on the section of the car. ANyways the drivers side rain gutter is welded almost completly closed. Im gonna use fiberglass to fill the imperfections. It feels flawless on the mig welded side. The brazed side is really warped but I can fix it. Here are some pics I hope yall like. ;D
;D It feels really alot better then it looks ;D
awesome job Chris :) keep us posted
Hey people it me again. PLease tell me if you can if I should stopposting up pictures. Iv been trying to post up pics all day. Anyways I finished narrowing the rear bumper t-day to. It was dented in the middle so trying to narrow it was tricky. Im gonna mould the bumpers with fiberglass and make them as round as possible a few weeks from now. Pics of the narrowed rear bumper are located at http://groups.msn.com/BettaPics/shoebox.msnw?Page=3 ;D
wow, i really like what you did with the bumper. real nice looking, i wanna do that with my car.
Keep posting pics if you dont mind. ;D
