I'm planning a V8 Swap into my 1972 Pinto Wagon (302/T-5) and I would like to know what stock exhaust manifolds will work? Also what is the best engine mounting application?
:fastcar:I have a 302 in my 77 wagon and I was able to clear factory exhaust manifold from the smallest Ford V-8 engine could be a 260 but not shure. I'm shure someone on this site knows.
I'd sure like to know also. I have a '76 Bobcat that I would like to put a 5.0 and an AOD in. :text_yb_please:
I put a 5.0/AOD into a MII I used factory MII manifolds. You can't use the "shorty" headers as the D/S exits into the steering column.
Somebody put some information on this site about the time I was doing my conversion. If memory serves me right they showed a picture of two manifolds, where he got them and their part number. I don't have time now but I will look later. They were aftermarket, I would have bought some if I did not already have some.
This is a darn good question.

GoFast2007,
Pic#1>>> Here is a pic of what will work on the left side. Also here is the number you can call to try to get one(courtesy of GearHead440) B&M Engine Supply in Texas 1-877-844-9832. Or call the junkyards and ask for a left side Mustang II v8 manifold.
Pic#2>>> Here is the right side manifold I used on my car. I think this is a fairly common manifold used on Ford v8's cause it had the choke heater tube cast into it. The one pictured is off of a 74 bronco. I ground the tube cast off of it to make room for clearence and it made it fine.
I used headers off a Mountaineer with a 302. I did not want to cut the fenders and with the 351 it was dificult. Here are a few shots

now my exhaust does go under my cross member, but does not seem to be a problem at this time.
