I just bought a T bucket style roadster that a guy built by hand and it has a Pinto motor and 5 speed transmission. I know, it sounds weird but is really cool. How do I find out what size motor it is, and the year if that makes a difference so if it ever needs parts etc. I can get the right stuff. I,ve been told to look at the timing belt cover for the size and also on the side of the block but can't find anything. Thanks
Hello tlcmbc,
If your T-bucket has a 5 speed it is most likely a 2.3...
Can you provide a photo?
Does the fuel pump have 2 bolts vertical:
or 2 bolts horizontal ..
From Pintony
Pintony, the fuel pump bolts are horizontal. I'm new to the site, how do I post pics? Thanks, Tim
Hello tlcmbc,
Horizontal fuel pump bolts = 2.3 engine

Click the Browse button and select your digital photos.
Here is the T bucket, in the process of painting it yellow with flames. Have removed the old trunk and will build a wood bed. Do you know if they make chrome parts for the motor because if they do I would like to remove the hood for a cooler look. Tim
Hey Tim,
Just have your items chrome plated.
They are a rare find...
