Title: Neat new CT Pinto Feature in January 2007 Auto Restorer magazine
Post by: stevefromcpr on January 01, 2007, 02:52:07 PM
I've never met these folks, but there is a great feature in the new Auto Restorer about a couple from Cromwell, CT who are devoted Pinto (& Mustang) enthusiasts/collectors/restorers.

I've transcribed the text of the article, plus a couple of the accompanying pictures from the article, on this new page:

Best to all & Happy Pinto-ing in '07!

I imagine we'll run into them at some point, Bill. I'm going to try snail mailing them a note when I get a chance. Pretty cool to know there are other Pinto folks "out there"--even here in rust-belt Connecticut (which may have to change its name soon--I don't think I've ever driven my '68 VW Beetle to work in *January* before--but I'm starting '07 off right having driven it in today!).

Happy New Year Bill, Connie, and everyone,

Steve

HI

I really enjoyed talking to you last night, Bill.
I look forward to talking and meeting other Pinto Collectors from CT & Northeast.
I have not had time to log into the FordPinto website in a long time.
After receiving the package from Steve and the Phone call from Bill, I decided to log back in and check out whats new.
I glad to here people have enjoyed seeing my submission to Auto Restorer.
I am surprised they printed it.

Glad to hear you successfully received my "junk mail," Paul.

Very nice job with the Auto Restorer article--and very "forward-thinking" of them to feature it so nicely in the magazine.

I'd love to perhaps ad a photo or two or three of your Pintos to the little feature page that I created, so if you care to, please do send some along, perhaps with some descriptive words.

All the best,

Steve from CPR (CommonGear@aol.com)
