Title: 2.3 turbo oil return
Post by: techteacher on December 27, 2006, 06:07:45 PM
I am in the process of putting a turbo on my 2.3 powered Cub Cadet tractor.  Does anybody have a picture or a source of one that would show how/where the oil return line from the blower gets back into the oilpan?   Thanks    Peter

wow! that sounds like fun .  the return line just needs to go to the oil pan.  try to get it higher than the oil level would be if the motor was running.

Something else to consider is to try and place the " fitting" that the return line ties into, in a section of the pan that the connecting rod is NOT in. In other words, place the fitting " between" the number one and number two connecting rods. Also, use at least a 5/8"(AN, size -10 ) 45* fitting and try and avoid a 90* fitting.
Just my 2c.
