Title: Cruising Wagon Panel removal/installation question
Post by: holistic on December 07, 2006, 10:33:53 PM
Hello all. My question is, how hard are these porthole panels to remove and then install into a regular pinto wagon? I am asking because I have been in search of a cruising wagon for sometime now, but I am beginning to give up hope in finding one. However, I found a cruising wagon body that has been chopped up and mutated to a 4 wheel drive drive frame. It has been broken down for years and setting. I am thinking about asking the owner if he would sell the porthole panels to me. Are these panels just bolted in or welded? Are there any necessary mods, that would have to be done, to the standard pinto wagon to accept these porthole panels? Thanks for all the help.

The panels themselves are screwed onto the body along with some very sticky calking.  The drip rail extentions are also screwed on.  The brackets for the interior panels are spot welded in and will need to be drilled out.  In general that are relatively simple to remove but take your time as they are easy to kink.
