I have the opportunity to acquire a set of pop out windows for my 73 Runabout the question is...

does anyone have a Pinto with the pop out windows and could you please post a couple pics from the inside and outside so I can compair the difference on mounting?

and

can it be done easily since the Pinto is getting restored and all glass will be removed. I guess what I need to know will it be a hard to upgrade to the pop out windows? and what will need to be considered/needed for the swap?

Here's the need to know part, very important.

Look at the outside pic... see how nice that chrome looks... blends from the front to back window and If I put the pop out windows in will it change the look of the chrome around the windows? Here's where a picture of a car with the pop out windows would come in real handy.. hint.. hint..

I need to know that if I go with the pop out windows all that chrome around the windows will stay the same.

I don't have any pictures of the inside on my computer but here is one from the outside.  The window moldings will look almost the same.  My car came with factory popout so I did not install them but I removed a few sets in my time.  I assume it should be a bolt in.  The hardest part will be locating the plastic hinges if yours did not come with them.   Most of them break when they are removed.  I will try and take a picture of the inside tomorrow.

Now, like you said, just have to locate the hinges and if you can provide a picture of the inside that would be very helpful.

Cookieboy, here are a couple more pictures.  The screw cover for the handle came off.  I have it put away for now.

Thanks Tigger, that gives me an idea where the rear mount goes. I had a long talk w/Doc (earthquake) the other day and he told me all I should need to know about the swap. He has the windows and should be able to provide me all the parts needed for the swap so.. looks like the little pinto get's another upgrade  ;D
