I drove to the Columbus, Ohio fairgrounds for the Ford only swap-meet this past weekend. I walked through four buildings worth of stuff, including a car corral that had lots of goodies in it. Not a single Pinto/Bobcat to be seen...there were several Mavericks in the corral, as well as a Fairmont, but nothing from our breed. I did see one Pinto chrome logo in a display case for a fender. Otherwise, nothing at all. I did find a few goodies for my Mustang II, and some of those are interchangeable (wheel trim rings, interior clips, things like that) but I was pretty disappointed. Is this the norm for these kinds of affairs? If so, I won't bother going again until I can drive my Bobcat. They will be so jealous...

Hello Flyer Pinto,
If you were there on saturday then you missed alot.
There are just too many people to see anything.
Hardly ever a Pinto in the corral,
From Pintony
Apparently you did not get to the Ag-hort building. There were two Pintos there. one was sitting outside by the doors and the other was sitting inside by the main entrance. That car was owned by me.It was in there for display only, but i had many offers for it.We had a big crowd on Saturday,so you may not have seen it.There also was another Pinto at the Buckey building all weekend. So there were Pintos around and some Pinto parts also.
I bought several Pinto items at SuperSwap>
A pair of "78 head light doors, (2) "78 front spoilers, a drivers door and misc, peices.
I saw NOS and used grills, fenders, taillights, badges, wheels and engine-tranny parts.
You just have to be patient with the huge crowd and look closely.
Also saw Pintos displayed in two of the four buildings and in the parting lots.
Hey Swap going members,
Wish I could have been there to hang out and talk Pinto.
From Pintony
I went through all the buildings, but didn't see any Pintos. I must've just missed them, especially if they weren't indoors. I could've used a fender or two, but truthfully, I didn't see anything. Sorry I missed your car.
Hey it's no problem.Even the best Pinto owners miss them sometimes.Just wear your glasses next time[just kidding].Maybe we can get together sometime,I am from Columbus.Let me know.
The swap seemed pretty good for the first time I went. Got me a spec book for the car & an am fm 8 track for 10 bux. Now I just gotta get the car out of storage so I can put it in. Dunno when that'll happen since I'm still doing the motor swap on my Dodge Omni turbo.
I tell ya, I stopped working on the Pinto to focus on the GLH but I so wanna just park that thing & work on the Pinto now.
HEY FLYERPINTO SORRY YOU DIDN'T FIND THE PARTS YOU WERE LOOKING FOR AT COLUMBUS.
I BOUGHT A CHERRY 79-80 HOOD, PLUS A NICE 77 TAILLIGHT.
MY WHITE 1980 "POSTALPONY" WAS PARKED JUST OUTSIDE THE BIG DOOR AT THE BUCKEYE BUILDING &
IT WAS INSIDE ALL DAY SUNDAY, SO I GUESS YOU JUST MISSED SEEING OUR PINTOS.
DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR PARTS, THE ARE OUT THERE--JUST GOT TO FIND THEM.
