Title: Dim dash lights
Post by: dangerusdug on November 20, 2006, 10:49:58 PM
Question, dim headlights and dash lights, checked alternator and new battery. Could it be the voltage regulator ? I want this car ready to sell this spring. Thanks D.D.

Hey D D,
Possibally some of the bulbs are bad?
Or they are so dirty form time gone-by they are dim???

On the headlights...
Make sure the screws on the core support that supply the ground to the headlights are rust free. I.E. Bad ground to the headlights...

I had a similar problem on my 1980 pinto.so i shimmyed under the dash and through the hole for the radio and took them out and they were all good. after i put them back in they worked fine.i believe i had to twist them to get them out so maybe it cleaned up the contacts.
