Title: Hurst shifter for a Pinto/Mustang II Whats it worth??
Post by: ministock71 on November 20, 2006, 12:04:45 AM
I have a Hurst shifter that is for the screw in type transmission (German 10 bolt we call them) that appears to have the reverse lock out built into it. On the 4 spd transmissions, reverse and 1st gear are side by side. This shifter has a ring below the knob marked "HURST" that must be lifted up to shift into reverse. It is in great shape with the exception being the boot and thats not to bad. What did it come in and what is it worth out there??  I feel like it has some value. I wouldn't mind parting with it as I have moved onto the later model transmissions in my race car.

Hello ministock71,
IF in NICE un-abused condition from 5-50 bucks...
I have seen NOS NEW shifters go for much more BUT the Hurst lever is Hollow and the componets made of plastic.
They break when I use them...
But under normal use they are fine.
