Title: V6 vacuum and wiring diagrams
Post by: nitroguy on November 19, 2006, 10:59:22 PM
I was wondering if anyone had access to the wiring or vacuum diagrams to the 1978 Cruzin wagon .

The Clymer Manual you can get at Advance has the wiring diagram in it but I dont see the vacuum diagram at all. You will probably have to find one that still has the sticker under the hood.

The factory manuals are occasionally on ebay.  They are titled "Electrical & Vacuum Trouble Shooting Manual" and are year and model (Pinto & Bobcat) specific.  Presently there is a 1976 and a 1979 manual there now.  The price for each of these is $24 with shipping.  You can occasionally get each of these for $15 with shipping.

I do not know this vendor but they appear to have a good feedback score.

I have not found a good source for vacuum lines, but the book listed on  previous post is great for electrical as it is ford authorized, although listed as wiring and vacuum they are not very helpful for vacuum.
another good source is Haynes for electrical if you can read a schematic. Petersen's also has a tune up guide that had decent pictures  that may help. clymer and Chilton's are good repair manuals as well but not for wiring or vacuum. I have been buying different books for about a year  to figure the vacuum on my 4 cylinder  and the under hood sticker is gone on mine.
by the way i found all of mine on ebay and did not pay over  $5 for any of them

i would offer to scan what i have but my scanner quit and wating on santa to bring me a new one.
