ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS A STROKER KIT FOR THE PINTO 2.3???
MIKE
The only ones I've seen are in the Esslinger catalog. My old '97 catalog shows cranks that will get you up to 2850cc's with a stock block.
They aint cheap, however. The '97 price list shows the kit (crank, pistons, pins and rings) at $1400.
On edit...
Esslinger's website appears to be down at the moment, but I just found a recent (12/03) flyer from them. It shows a 3.875" stroker crank (2850cc) goes for $1475. Apparently this is the price for the crankshaft alone.
Try Race Engineering......They have the best bang for the buck....I bought one of their Pro 2.5 kits with ultralight componets....few pounds off the crank, light childs and albert rods, light pistons and pins..... comes as a whole assembly balanced for under 2K....great pulleys and belt systems too.

Late model 2.3L fords are also built as a 2.5L. I beleave the Racer Walsh web site has information on them. I understand the only problem is getting a front sump (Pinto) oil pan to seal at the rear main cap.
