I'm a Total Supercharger N00B.... I have the opportunity to purchase an Eaton M62. Now will this Little Supercharger work on a Carbed 302 out of a 1977 Mustang II?? Stock Rotating assembly. High Energy Cam, Stock Heads for Now. 1st Gen Edelbrock Torker Intake with Holley 650. This stuff may be irrelevant but hey I know Nothing about these things. Any help would be greatly Appreciated. How much do these sell for new? Will I need any other extra parts? for the setup?
My sugestion would be to run down to the nearest Barns & Nobel Bookstore and get a book about superchargers or 5.0 Mustang performance.
the pistons in that block are just cast.....they would not hold up to very much boost, and if you did accidentaly run it lean.....you'll be rebuilding it! If you want to run a supercharger, use a '87 to '92 mustang 5 liter block as they have forged pistons and as a bonus, they are roller blocks. Or buy forged pistons for the block you have.
