Title: Beach racing??
Post by: reflexr on February 09, 2004, 12:42:13 PM
I have my 71 Blue Bean on ebay, and I got a strange response from someone I sent some extra pics to. The email they sent was this:

Yes, we received the pictures and it appears that the car is rusted out
because it'd been raced in the Pacific Ocean.  My wife (who's lived in the
state of California for 30 years and has seen and watched vehicles being
raced on the seashore) wants to know just how much sand is in under the
hood and whether it or not, the car burns oil and if it does burn oil, how
much?
Thank you for your time

How about that? The cars not rusted out at all. Hmmm.

Joey

The only place you can drive on the beach in California is Pismo Beach. I have been to Pismo Beach since the mid 60s and can tell you that there was no racing "on the beach". this was a place you could bring your Dune buggies and " drive on the beach" and then back into the sand dunes. By the time the Pinto came along there was beach patrols that would give you a ticket if you went over 30 mph on that beach and I saw a lot of tickets handed out.

Brad, I think it's 15 mph now.  We go up there for a week every year in June.  Last year my daughter & I spent some cash & rented a couple of quads.  4hrs of sheer unadulterated fun.  I've NEVER been so sore before in my life!!!!!

If you are suggesting what I think you are;  then I believe you need a bit af straightening out.  Your mouth seems to not be connected to a sensible mind.

I am highly offended and think an apoogy  is in order.  In public, here, to me, my family and the other members on the site.  This is at LEAST a very viable slander against me and my daughter and if I am not satisfied with your response then further legal action may very well take place.

It's unfortunate that you have sunk so low yet still have such a high opinion of yourself.

I have to agree that the responce your received is pretty funny....I had a guy tell me once that by the way the brake pedal was worn it was obvious that the car was hot rodded...... ???

I'm waiting for your response Pintony.

I think that your published comments to the FordPinto.com website;  that amount to libel/slander of me and my daughter, warrant a public retraction of those comments and a public apology to me and my daughter.
