Hey again,
can we keep the pinto fuse box? and if so, how do we go about putting the whole thing together? at the moment we have a large jumble of wires from the turbo coupe wiring harness (it was an 88' with lots of unneccesary computers we eliminated already, but we havent gotten rid of the wires yet.) If anyone has any sort of wiring diagram on this kind of swap it would help. a lot, we are stuck. the motors in but we cant even get a complete curcuit, we cant even get the starter to crank. we want to combine both wiring harnesses together to eliminate other unneeded wires from the TC wiring harness.
Any info would help,
DHilton

Lots of info there.
I have mentioned it before, but here it is again. The 87/88 T/C harness is a NIGHTMARE. Use a Merkur or 86 T/C one. All you need is the diagrams from both harnesses. Take your time with the wires; it is easy and you only need to connect a small amount between the two harnesses. Be SURE ALL THE GROUNDS ARE CONNECTED.

This might help you out also.

Good one!
There are pin differences to the comp. in the different years, so it would need to be double-checked to the specific year of car.

thanks guys all this helps us a lot!!
An easy way to make the 88 turbocoupe harness work is to mount your ecu plug connector in the vise and remove all the wire loom cover, then check to see what pin is used for your application and if it's not, cut that wire out. Took me about 3 hours but made a thin and trim harness when it was done. you don't even need the relay box if you just wire the fuel pump to your own bosch type relay and run a seperate electric fan switch.
