I bought a pinto awhile back that a guy had put in a turbo 2.3 out of a 88 thunderbird. he sold the car with a new haltech injection controller that had just been hooked up. I got a lap top with the car and tried playing around till I purchased a wide band O2 from innovate and got the car pretty well tuned in . I locked out the distrubutor at 18 degrees set the waiste gate at 15 psi and drove the car. it has a T-5 speed and 4.10's in the rear and absolutly halls butt.
The down side is i had problems with the wide band and had to send it back,m apparently they are having problems with the model XD-16 and LC-1 cables.
Im ust to V-8's and never knew a 4 banger could be that much fun.
The injection idles like a kitten. The turbo is a t4/3 hybrid 42 lb injectors stinger header, 3 inch pipe and down pipe 65 mm throttle body.
I cant wait to get a new set of slicks and run it at the track and see what happens. I did find a cut in the main power wire where the guy had run the power cable threw the firewall and was grounding out and killing the car, once I got that fixed it ran perfect.
