I was just given a 1978 Pinto Hatchback Orange with orange interior and yes the orange, yellow, and white plad seats. It was my moms college car she said. It has been sitting behind the garage since '89. I want to repaint the car the original orange and re-upholster the interior and headliner all to original. The motor is a 2.3L and is seized.
QUESTIONS
Should I get the 2.3L rebuilt?
or Should I get a 302?
and Is the gas tank problem fixed by '78?

go 2.3 turbo, you still get great mileage and you can knock the socks off most v8 cars. v8 swaps are cool and all but its more fun when they dont know what hit them. :D
