Title: Up22 fiberglass hoods?

Scroll down and what do I see?
Fiberglass hoods for my pinto and me. :)

I have a FI 302, and my stock hood is rusted to heck.  What would the minimum hood to clear a '89 Mustang GT 302 with stock intake?

I've been expecting to need a 2.25/2.5" cowl induction hood.

I'm wondering:
1.  Has anyone ordered from these guys?
2.  What is the quality of work/fitment/etc?

If they're good I'd like to pick up the fenders too.  My headlight buckets are busted up.  But for $189 each... I might just make my own buckets.

I do not have experience with any of the fiberglass suppliers, but  I have run across additional companies that offer Pinto parts as listed below.  Thought you might be interested.  There may be more companies than these.

I have purchased UP22 products several times and have been very pleased ( 72 Pinto doors, fenders, hood.) Two small precautions- (1) if the item is not in stock, it will take forever to receive the item and (2) as with most fiberglass products, finishing and painting is extensive ($) because of all the tiny pin holes that make there way into the item.  Joe

I got my cowl scoop from them, it's really thin and the underside is very very very rough. My painter had to fill several small "air pocket" pin holes. But it was only $35.00.

I'm in contact with Show Cars Body Parts. Anyone ever used them. I've got an '80' and I want a 2½" to 3" Hood with a Cowl scoop on it, they don't have one BUT they have just the scoop so I guess my question is has anyone ever used them before? If so how was there products?, strong?, airpits?, rough or smooth finish?

Thanks in advance

Shawn

I think Henry (pintok) used them once and it took a year or something crazy like that to get his stuff....pm him and ask him just to be sure.

Hopefully the cowl part will be wide enough for my carb hat and intake tube...looks good mustangman3! Can you post how wide the scoop is at around where the carb sits,  thanks.
