Title: Tinkering with guages, are all gauges standard?
Post by: Trent on September 29, 2006, 08:14:45 AM
i'm considering designing a custom gauge cluster for my pinto, maybe a brushed steel or wood backing, I would really like to use some of the old school late 40's to mid '50's instrument gauges i found on ebay, they have a sweet ford pickup set from a '49 (i think) , but are all gauges interchangable?

just wondering before i ask my cousin to cut out the dash panel for me, dont want to fork over 20$ for a peice i cant use >.<

thanks again guys

Those early gauges may be 6 volt so it may take some engineering to get them to work properly.
